Pancake Breakfast

Our annual Pancake Breakfast will take place on Sunday, August 31st from 8-11:30am at the
                                   
                                      BODEGA FIRE HALL next to St Teresa's church


This event is sponsored by the St. Teresa Ladies Guild and benefits the historic St Teresa's church.

                                                   Children  are $5
                                                    Under 12 is  Free

iTALIAN CYPRESS TREES

On June 2nd, 2014, St. Teresa acquired a new look.   28 blue Italian cypress trees were planted in memory of Brendan Smith.   14 trees flank each side of the fences leading to St. Teresa church and provide a stately eloquence leading to the church steps.  We invite everyone to visit our beautiful church and grounds.

St. Patrick's Day Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner

Come and celebrate St. Patrick's Day with fine food, drinks, and a RAFFLE.   Proceeds to purchase dining room chairs at St. Phillip's hall in Occidental.  Tickets are $20, please call office on 874-3812 for availability.

Polenta Dinner

Come join us for an amazing Polenta Dinner at the Bodega Fire Hall in Bodega.   This event benefits the St. Teresa Church's  Restoration Fund.   In addition to great food, there are soft drinks, wine bar, and a raffle.   Tickets are sold at the door.

Celebrate the "Big Event" on January 11th, 2014

Join us in celebrating our Heritage and supporting the preservation of St. Teresa and St. Philip churches at the same time.  On January 11th, 2014, from 6-10 pm there will be a buffet dinner, raffle,.3812 and  both live and silent auctions at the Union Hotel in Occidental. Tickets are now on sale for $45 per person.  We encourage you to act quickly as last year's event soldout early!

Donation items are also being requested for the live and silent auctions.  Some examples are as follows.

Parish Picnic on August 25th (Sunday), 12:30pm

Come join the fun at the annual picnic of St Philip and St Teresa Churches at the Harmony-Salmon Creek School picnic grounds which is located at 1935 Bohemian Hwy (between Occidental and Freestone).

Family and friends are welcome to enjoy games, food, beverages, and fellowship.  Inquiries can be directed to the parish office at 707.874.3812.

"Big Event BBQ" in Bodega on August 4th

Fundraising event for the Bodega Volunteer Fire Department.   Features a Parade down Main Street, Live Music, Food, Wine, and Arts & Craft.  Admission is free.

"Casino Night" on April 20th

St. Teresa/St. Philip's is hosting the second annual casino night fundraiser on Saturday, April 20, from 6:30 - 10:30 PM at St. Philip's Hall in Occidental. A great time was had by all last year and this year will be no exception. There will be Black Jack, Roulette, Wheels, Prizes, Silent Auction, Raffle, Full Bar.  Admission price is $10 which includes a lucky packet of gaming chips.  Delicious food with an Argentinean flare to celebrate our new Pope Francis will be available for purchase. Proceeds will go towards needed repairs at St. Teresa and St. Philip.

SECOND ANNUAL OCCIDENTAL SPAGHETTI COOKOFF

The Second Annual Occidental Spaghetti Sauce and Dessert Cookoff  will be held on October 20 at 6 PM at the St. Philip Parish Hall in Occidental. Come help decide who is the best spaghetti chef and the best dessert chef of Occidental.  Tickets are $10 for pasta, 3 sauces of your choice, salad, garlic bread, and 2 desserts of your choice. Proceeds benefit the St.Philip/St. Teresa Parish.

St. Teresa of Avila Pancake Breakfast

The St. Teresa's Ladies Guild will be holding their annual pancake breakfast on Sunday, September 2, from 8:00 - 11:30 at the Bodega Fire Hall located at 17184 Bodega Highway in Bodega. Come join us for a delicious breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, and juice. Proceeds help with the continual upkeep and maintenance of this historic 152 year old church.

Wedding Coordinator

St Teresa of Avila and St Philip churches are proud to announce that there is a new wedding coordinator, JANIS WILSON.    In addition to her new responsibility, Janis is also our music director.   Janis looks forward to help make the wedding ceremony a special occasion.

"Las Vegas Escape" on April 14th

Come join us for a evening of fun.............."Las Vegas Escape."    There will card games, raffles, and a door prize........$10 admission at the door or purchase tickets after each weekend mass.

Bell and Sign Installation Complete !!!

As you drive along the Bodega Highway and slow down to 25 mph in the town of Bodega, a refurbished bell and sign now appear at the base of St Teresa of Avila church.   New to the sign is a plaque which shows the phone number and website for Wedding Info.

St. Patrick's Day Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner

The annual St. Patrick's Dinner will be held on March 17th at St. Philip Parish Hall.  Get your tickets soon as this popular event sells out each year.   There will be a raffle and live entertainment.

St. Teresa of Avila Polenta Dinner

Last Saturday was a success!   There were 223 adults and 7 children who attended our annual feast........thanks to all who attended.   The event was conducted by the St Teresa Ladies Guild and their spouses.

Polenta Dinner Sponsored by the St. Teresa Restoration Fund

We are inviting everyone to come and join us at the annual Polenta Dinner for the benefit of the St. Teresa Restoration fund to be held on February 11 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at McCaughey Hall located at 17184 Bodega Highway, Bodega CA. The hall is located 2 doors from the church. The menu includes polenta with a delicious beef stew, salad, dinner rolls, dessert, and coffee. Wine and soft drinks are available for purchase. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children. Proceeds from the dinner will be used in our ongoing restoration efforts to preserve our beautiful, historical church.

126 Year Old Bell Refurbished

On Jan 17th the bell in front of St. Teresa of Avila was removed.   Having been built in 1886, the time has come to powder coat the bell to help perserve it.    The 850 pound bell also will be supported by a new wooden structure.   Keep an eye out for the "best looking, 126 year old bell" in Sonoma County.

Participation in Wedding Fair

St. Teresa of Avila will be an exhibitor at the upcoming Wedding Fair on
Jan 8th at the Doubletree Hotel in Rohnert Park.   On display will be a
virtual tour of St. Teresa along with several handouts.  Be sure to visit
our booth, no. 15, and say hello to Kathy, Edna, Val or Teresa.

Did you know that Ansel Adams prints of  “The Church and Road” are
available for purchase?  All monies go toward the restoration fund of St.
Teresa and are greatly appreciated.
